Blåhaj of Undying

This is a client-side version of the Blåhaj mod by Hibi. Instead of creating a new item, this mod replaces the appearance and name of the totem of undying with our beloved plush shark Blåhaj, whom you can now cuddle even on vanilla servers!

Mod Content

This version contains only Blåhaj itself, which completely replaces the standard totem of undying. However, there are 34 texture variants available based on various colors and LGBTQ+ flags. To get the desired variant, simply rename your Blåhaj on an anvil!

How to Change Texture

You can select your preferred texture variant by adding specific keywords anywhere in the item's name. For a complete list of available keywords, refer to the project's wiki.

For example, the following names will work correctly:

• Red Shark
• Trans Shark
• trans shark
• This creature is bi
• there are many words in this item name but here's GAY so its valid

Why Not a Resource Pack?

Because resource packs cannot recreate the cuddly arms animation. Additionally, changing texture based on item name in this particular way is not possible in either vanilla Minecraft or with CITResewn.

Like the original mod, this version is distributed under the Unlicense. You are free to study the code and use it in your own projects.

The LGBTQ+ flag textures were adapted from the Blåhaj Beyond mod by IThundxr and are distributed under the LGPL-2 license.
