Bigfoot: Into the Woods

Add legendary creatures to your Minecraft world with the Bigfoot: Into the Woods mod! You'll encounter two powerful cryptids: Bigfoot, who inhabits forest biomes, and his arctic counterpart Yeti, who appears in snowy territories.

Behavioral Features

Both creatures are initially neutral toward players, but the situation changes dramatically when you start hunting animals in their territories. Notably, Yeti becomes aggressive much earlier than his forest counterpart.

Threat level system:

  • After several animal kills, cryptids enter the second behavior phase
  • With further kills, they become completely hostile
  • Both creatures can destroy fragile blocks (wood, glass)

Game Rule Management

Reset kill counters:

/reset_kills

Disable creature despawning:

/gamerule bigfootDespawn false

Change behavior phases:

/gamerule bigfootPhase [0/1/2]

Bigfoot Details

Bigfoot image

Bigfoot inhabits exclusively forest biomes and possesses the unique ability to become invisible at night, leaving only footprints and sounds of his presence. He has three aggression levels:

  • Phase 1: Observes the player from a distance
  • Phase 2: Begins stalking
  • Phase 3: Full hostility with enhanced abilities

When health drops below 40 units, Bigfoot enters a rage, receiving additional strength and speed bonuses.

Bigfoot Easter Egg

If you right-click Bigfoot with a cake, the special "AI Vlog" version activates. This variant becomes an ally, fighting hostile mobs, but may attack players when very hungry.

Yeti Details

Yeti image

Yeti inhabits snow biomes and gains strength during snowfall. He also becomes invisible when the player moves more than 15 blocks away. Behavioral phases are similar to Bigfoot, but Yeti transitions to hostile phase significantly faster.

Feeding and Saturation

Hungry cryptids may attack both animals and players. Suitable foods to satisfy their hunger include:

  • Red and brown mushrooms
  • Cooked pork and beef
  • Carrots and baked potatoes
  • Apples, honey, cookies, melon
  • Cooked chicken and mutton

After consuming food, creatures receive saturation effect for 10 minutes or longer.
