Betweencards
The Betweencards mod creates an entirely new collectible card game within the world of The Betweenlands, offering strategic duels between players.
Every creature from The Betweenlands is now represented as a unique card with its own characteristics and special abilities based on this dimension's aspect system. Cards have varying attack power and health points, making each battle unpredictable and engaging.

Core Gameplay
The card game system offers diverse tactical possibilities. You can attack twice per turn for maximum damage or combine attack with defense using cards for mutual protection. Each card possesses a unique aspect mechanic that can completely change battle strategy.
Aspect mechanics allow creating powerful card combinations. Some cards are more effective in offense, others in defense. By experimenting with different decks and card combinations, you can find optimal strategies and become a true master of card battles.
Card Collecting
Building a deck begins with crafting card packs using various materials from The Betweenlands. Simply right-click a created pack to receive 3 random cards from the corresponding set. From collected cards you can build your unique deck for battling other players.
How to Play
Deck Building: You have 64 points available for building your deck. When adding each card, combine its attack and health and subtract this sum from available points. You don't need to use all points - the main thing is staying within the limit.
Game Setup:
- Choose your side of the playing field
- Place cards in the designated deck area
- Draw 4 cards and play 3 in the main slots
- Set health tokens according to card values
Player Turn:
- Draw cards until you have 4 in hand
- Play cards to maintain 3 in play
- Attack twice or apply attack plus defend
Attacking and Defending: When attacking, subtract attack value from opponent card's health. A card dies when health reaches 0.
Defense allows one card to protect another, adding health equal to defender's attack to protected card. Defending card cannot attack during protection.
Aspect System
Every card has a unique aspect that provides special abilities or changes standard rules:
- Desire: +2 health when defended, but cannot attack without protection
- Muscle: Attacks one more time before death
- Corruption: Ignores target's aspect and blocks it for one turn
- Water: When defending gives +2 health to your other cards
- Stomach: Defender dies but extra health remains
- Mind: Can defend two cards at once
- Earth: When defending adds own health instead of attack
- Fire: When attacking deals 2 damage to all opponent's cards
- Vision: Can split damage between two targets
- Void: Takes half damage, but one card dies when enemy card dies
- Enhance: Adds +5 health to protected card
- Chaos: Deals 2 damage to attacker
- Soul: Instead of death remains with 1 health
- Health: Heals 2 health at turn start
- Wind: Can attack while defending
- Form: Takes 1 less damage
