Better Withered Mobs
This mod expands the Minecraft game world by adding unique items related to withered creatures. Instead of regular bones, withered mobs now drop withered bones that can be used to create new recipes and potions.
Main Innovations
The mod introduces four key elements:
- Withered Bones
- Withered Bone Meal
- Withered Bone Blocks
- Potion of Decay
Drop System
Wither Skeletons now have a chance to drop withered bones instead of regular bones. If you have the Better Nether mod installed, nagas and skulls will also drop withered bones. Drop rates match those of regular bones. All changes can be disabled in the mod's configuration.
Crafting Recipes
- 9 withered bone blocks = 1 wither skeleton skull
- 1 withered bone = 3 portions of withered bone meal
- 9 portions of withered bone meal = 1 withered bone block
- 1 withered bone block = 9 portions of withered bone meal
- 1 withered bone block + 1 poppy = 1 wither rose
Potion Brewing
Using a wither rose as an ingredient and an awkward potion as the base, you can create a potion of decay. Enhanced versions, extended duration potions, splash potions, lingering potions, and arrows of decay are also available.
Bone Meal Usage
Withered bone meal only works on warped nylium and crimson nylium, spawning objects in a 1x1 block area.
Bone Meal Drops
When using withered bone meal:
- 3/11 chance of dropping warped and crimson fungus
- 2/11 chance of dropping brown and red mushrooms
- 1/11 chance of dropping a wither rose
Technical Requirements
For the mod to work, the following are required:
- Fabric
- Fabric API
- Fabric Language Kotlin
- oωo (owo-lib) for Fabric
- Mod Menu
Compatibility
The mod is fully compatible with servers but requires installation on both client and server. A port to Forge is not planned by the developer but is permitted for community creation.
Usage
The mod can be freely used in modpacks provided the LGPLv3 license is followed and a link to the original mod page is included. Reuploading files to other sites is prohibited.
