Better Compass

Displays coordinates and cardinal directions!

A simple way to know your current coordinates and facing direction - just hold a compass in your hand. Easily share your location in chat with friends using a single command!

What is Better Compass?

This datapack offers a lightweight alternative to the F3 screen, which usually takes up almost the entire game window. When you hold a regular compass in your main or off hand, your coordinates and cardinal direction are displayed in the action bar.

Available Commands

Any player, regardless of operator privileges, can use this command to quickly send their coordinates and current dimension to chat:

/trigger my.pos

Uninstallation

Better Compass includes an automatic uninstallation process. When launched:

• All scores and storages related to the Better Compass datapack are removed
• If no other KawaMood datapacks are installed, all common scores and storages are also removed

The command to start the uninstallation process:

/function pk_be_co:cmd/uninstall

Reporting Issues

If you encounter a problem while using this datapack, it's preferable to join the Discord server and create a post in the dedicated #data-pack-issues channel to describe your problem. Please don't forget to provide all necessary information, including:

• The Minecraft version you're using
• The version of the datapack you're using
• Whether you're using modified versions like Forge, Paper, or Spigot
• If yes, which plugins or mods you're using that might affect datapack functionality
• A list of other datapacks you're using, if any
• A clear description of the problem and how to reproduce it
• If necessary - a video or screenshot of the issue in the game
