Beautified Chat [Server] (Legacy Fabric)

This mod is the server version of Beautified Chat that allows customizing the appearance of chat for all players on the server without requiring installation on the client side.

Main Features

The mod completely changes the standard message format in Minecraft chat. Instead of the basic " Message" format, it uses a more convenient option with timestamps and color formatting.

Default format after mod installation: Timestamp | Username: Message text

Format Configuration

The mod offers a flexible configuration system:

• chatMessageFormat - allows customizing the message structure (default: "%timestamp% | %username%: %chatmessage%")
• timestampFormat - time display format (default: "HH:mm" for 24-hour format)

Color Customization

You can configure colors for various chat elements:

• chatTimestampColour - timestamp color
• chatUsernameColour - player name color
• chatMessageColour - message text color
• chatOtherSymbolsColour - color of other symbols

Available color codes: 0: black, 1: dark_blue, 2: dark_green, 3: dark_aqua, 4: dark_red, 5: dark_purple, 6: gold, 7: gray, 8: dark_gray, 9: blue, 10: green, 11: aqua, 12: red, 13: light_purple, 14: yellow, 15: white.

Compatibility

The mod requires installation of the Collective (Fabric) library and Fabric API. There is also a client version of the mod called Beautified Chat [Client], both versions are fully compatible with each other, with server settings taking priority.

Technical Requirements

This version is intended for Fabric 1.16 and 1.17. For newer Fabric versions (1.18+) and Forge, separate releases are available on the main project page.

The mod is part of the "The Vanilla Experience" modpack and can be freely used in any modpacks.
