Barnyard Buddies - Farm Animal Diversity

Welcome to the world of farming!

The Barnyard Buddies modification expands Minecraft by adding various breeds of domestic animals that exist in the real world. All new mobs are designed in the vanilla game style and organically fit into the game world.

Inspired by the "Spring to Life" update, this modification offers unique animals that spawn in specific biomes alongside regular vanilla mobs. These are not just skins for existing animals - they are completely new mobs with their own characteristics. For example, the Jacob's sheep produces spotted wool, while the Hampshire pig is functionally similar to the standard pig from Minecraft.

In addition to animals, the mod adds various decorative blocks for setting up farms, ranches, and animal pens. These include: mesh fences, barn walls, mesh doors, iron corrals, and much more!

The first version of Barnyard Buddies includes 5 to 7 different animals. Future updates plan to add new species. Currently, the modification is being developed for versions 1.20.1 Forge and 1.21.1 Neoforge. Porting to versions 1.19.2 Forge and 1.21.4+ Neoforge is possible if the porting process goes successfully.

It's important to note that animal variants from the "Spring to Life" update are not planned for addition, as there are separate mods for their backporting, including Vanilla Backport.
