Auxiliary Biomes
This mod is designed as a modern alternative to ExtrabiomesXL and is intended for use alongside Traverse and Redwoods. While these two mods have clear focuses (Traverse being vanilla+ biomes and Redwoods adding redwoods and firs), some biomes from ExtrabiomesXL didn't fit into any category. Among them were both quite unusual and very creative and interesting locations. Therefore, there was a need for an additional mod that would collect all the remaining biomes not included in either Traverse or Redwoods and absent in the standard game version.
Features
Auxiliary Biomes includes the following biomes based on ExtrabiomesXL:
Marsh - A swamp-like biome consisting of scattered pillars of earth and grass with abundant tall vegetation. Navigating through it is quite challenging, but the terrain presents significant interest.
Forested Island - An unusual variation of a forest, primarily consisting of water spaces among which massive rocky mountains rise. Essentially, this is an Extreme Hills biome partially submerged underwater, which explains the landscape features. Also present here are grassy beaches reminiscent of the game's beta version.
White Forest - A simple biome representing a regular forest area but covered in snow.
Ice Wasteland - Similar to Ice Plains but even more barren, with a surface of snow blocks instead of earth and grass. Possesses a bright white color.
Wasteland - An unsightly biome with flat terrain, covered in cracked sand, with sickly vegetation and water. Creates a post-apocalyptic landscape and can also serve as a suitable location for battles with withers.
Note: Wasteland biomes have a standard spawn weight of 5 instead of the usual 10, making them rarer due to their unattractive appearance and harsh conditions.
