Automatic Gameplay Video Cutting

The Autocut mod allows you to automatically extract interesting moments from your gameplay recordings based on events in Minecraft.

Getting Started

To use the mod, you'll need to install several additional programs:

First, install FFmpeg — a powerful tool for working with video and audio. Then download OBS Studio — a popular program for recording and streaming.

After installing OBS:

• Open OBS Studio
• Go to "Tools" → "WebSocket Server Settings"
• Enable the web server
• In the "Connection Information" section, copy the password

Now in the game, execute the command:

/autocut connect <your password>

Start recording in OBS, play as usual, and when you're done — stop the recording. To complete processing, execute the command /autocut finish. A new video with the prefix "cut" will appear in your recordings folder.

There's also the option to process previously recorded videos using the command /autocut finish "path/to/database".

• FFmpeg (LGPL v2.1+ license)
• Fabric API (Apache 2.0 license)
• Fabric Loader version 0.15.11 or higher (Apache 2.0 license)
• YACL version 3.5.0+1.21-fabric or higher (LGPL 3.0 license)
• Optional integration with Mod Menu version 11.0.2 or higher (MIT license)

Licensing

The main mod code is distributed under the MIT license. You can freely use it in modpacks and for creating videos. Using and studying the source code from the GitHub repository is also permitted.
