Apple Shields Mod

Do you enjoy using shields in Minecraft? Of course! Want to get completely new shields with configurable durability? Yes! Dreaming of shields with automatic repair? That would be amazing! Interested in shields with RF energy system? Definitely! What about shields made from apples? Wait, what?!

While updating The Erebus and The Betweenlands mods, our Angry Pixel team developed several unique shields. This mod became the result of these researches with an unexpected twist. All presented shields have flexible settings for various parameters.

Shields and Items

White Apple

Can be consumed. Has the same characteristics as a regular apple. Used for creating iShield (without RF system).

RF White Apple

Can be consumed. Has the same properties as a regular apple. Used for creating shield with RF system.

Apple Pie

Can be eaten. By characteristics similar to pumpkin pie. Used for creating apple pie shield. Crafting recipe doesn't require specific shape.

Red Apple Shield

Standard Minecraft apple in shield form. Base durability: 336 units. Can be repaired on anvil using apples.

iShield

Created from white apples. Default durability: 504 units. Repaired on anvil using redstone dust.

Apple Pie Shield

Crafted from apple pies. Base durability: 504 units. Automatically restores player 1 hunger point (half meat stick) with 0.6 saturation every 10 seconds, consuming 4 durability units for each restoration. Repaired on anvil using apple pies.

Golden Apple Shield

Created from golden apples. Default durability: 504 units. Automatically restores 1 durability unit every 8 seconds. Repaired on anvil using gold ingots.

Enchanted Golden Apple Shield

Crafted from enchanted golden apples. Default durability: 672 units. Automatically restores 1 durability unit every 4 seconds. Repaired on anvil using gold blocks.

RF System - requires RF mod installation

iShield RF Created from RF white apples. Default RF capacity: 10000 units. Consumes 20 RF for each damage point to the shield. Can be charged in any RF item charger. Repaired on anvil using redstone blocks.
