AnimeSpeedLines
Do you feel like your Minecraft gameplay has become too measured? Tired of monotonous rides on ice boat tracks in the Nether? Want to experience real speed even if you're physically moving at normal speed? Then this mod is made especially for you!
*In the demonstration video, the effect is intentionally enhanced for clarity — in actual gameplay it looks more balanced and less intrusive. The demo used Complementary Shaders.
Main Features
This modification is built around a special shader that I developed, but I also paid attention to fine-tuning the interaction of the effect with the game environment:
Transparency Adjustment
The intensity of the visual effect automatically adjusts to the brightness of the surrounding space. This ensures uniform contrast in various lighting conditions — both during the day and at night, making the effect less intrusive.
Speed Correction
The system takes into account the difference between the direction of movement and the direction of the camera's view. Although the solution is not perfect, it significantly reduces problems when moving sideways from the main direction (for example, when you're looking sideways while the boat is moving forward).
I originally created this mod to study and practice working with GLSL, but realized that many players might enjoy such a visual effect. If you have suggestions for improvement — be sure to share them!
