About the Modification
Want to diversify your Minecraft world with new animals? The Animalia mod is exactly what you need! Currently, 12 unique mobs have been added, including the walrus and the adorable dirty pig with its special biome - the Muddy Swamp, a completely peaceful territory.
Important note: For versions 2.0.2, 2.0.1, and 2.0.0, installation of Abnormals Core is required for the mod to work correctly. Later versions do not require this.
The mod also adds a new fluid from which you can create decorative blocks!
Mod Content
New Biomes
Muddy Swamp - Here you'll find dirty pigs, slimes, and several lilygators. This biome can be considered free of hostile mobs, similar to the mushroom island. Due to the abundance of mud, mud lakes generate at height 60, creating a sedimentary environment effect.
Desert Lakes - A regular desert but flatter and with a high probability of huge lakes appearing. Many hippos inhabit this area as it's their natural habitat!
New Animals
Brown Bear - Your forest friend who attacks when approached! Also hunts bees for honey. If you feed it honey, it will happily eat it. Drops: bear meat, fur, and sometimes honey.
Dirty Pig - This little friend drops many items. Over time, it leaves mud, similar to how chickens lay eggs. Besides meat, it can drop lily pads and blue orchids. Breeding: same as regular pigs.
Bull - If you get too close, it will try to chase you away, be careful! Breeding: wheat. Drops: bull horn, very rarely a poppy and a special item, as well as leather and the same meat as a cow.
Eagle - Watch the sky carefully, an eagle can attack and usually isn't alone. Drops: feathers, chicken, and sticks.
Hippopotamus - This large beast only lives in the dunes. If you right-click it with a shovel after a certain time, something interesting might happen... but be careful, it doesn't like people. Over time, it drops sand like chickens lay eggs. Breeding: melon slice. Drops: hippopotamus meat and sand.
Jellyfish - A little friend in the ocean, but don't harm it or it will retaliate. Drops: jelly, sponge piece.
Lilygator - Similar to an alligator but greener. Loves swamps and pigs. Drops: lilygator meat, lily pad, and lilygator leather.
Platypus - It's just a platypus, it doesn't do anything. Or is it not just a platypus? Breeding: lily pad.
Clay Snail - Drops clay and with a small chance its own shell. Over time, it drops clay like chickens lay eggs. Yes, infinite clay! Breeding: wheat and kelp.
Walrus - Beware of the walrus. This mob lives peacefully unless disturbed. Drops a lot of leather and sometimes its own tusks. If you see them near a polar bear, they won't hesitate to attack it. Breeding: pufferfish, tropical fish, and kelp.
Vulture - If you encounter one, run away. At first there may be few, but if they feel threatened, others may appear to hunt you down. Drops: feather, bone, all types of heads.
White Shark - The seas will no longer be safe. This lethal animal will drain your life with every hit. Drops: shark scale, all types of fish.
Additional Content
Several decorative blocks - it's recommended to use JEI to view crafting recipes and the Jelly Block (similar to slime but pink).
Three armor sets that provide potion effects!
The mod includes a configuration file where you can change animal and biome spawning.
Future of the Mod
Unfortunately, no new updates are planned. Version 1.17.1 will be the last for this mod. We hope you enjoy it!
