Animal Feeding Trough
Compatibility Requirements: The mod requires Architectury API to function. For Minecraft versions below 1.19, Fabric API is also required.
What is it?
This mod adds special animal feeding troughs to the game that fully automate the mob feeding process. Instead of manually distributing food to each animal, you can simply fill the trough with their favorite treats.
How does it work?
Mobs that can be tempted with food will now independently search for feeding troughs containing appropriate food for them. For example:
- Chickens will seek out troughs with seeds
- Pigs will head for carrots
- Cows will find troughs with wheat
When an animal finds a trough with the right food, it behaves as if fed by a player - enters love mode and can begin breeding.

Additional Variants
There is an additional mod "More Feeding Trough Variants" that expands the capabilities of the basic trough and adds new options for different play styles.
