Alternating Flux

This addon for Immersive Engineering introduces a new wire type - AF (Alternating Flux), which can be described as ultra-high voltage transmission lines. The primary advantage of these cables is minimal power loss over long distances, making them an ideal solution for large-scale power systems.

Electricity in AF wires cannot be directly connected to regular machines - this requires special transformers that convert energy between different voltage levels. Importantly, this mod does not introduce any new power system. Everything operates based on Immersive Engineering's standard mechanics, so you won't need to figure out another complex power scheme.

All AF wire parameters are fully configurable, allowing you to adapt their characteristics to your project's specific needs. All necessary information for working with this technology has been added to the Immersive Engineering manual in the "Power, wires, generators/Alternating Flux" section.

It's worth noting that development of this modification is currently on hold.
