Alternate Block Designs

This modification provides a carefully selected set of block variations that were omitted by Mojang developers from the standard game. These are blocks that, in the mod creator's opinion, would organically fit into the base version of Minecraft.

Main Features

The mod adds various building block variations from different materials while maintaining the developers' unified style.

Wooden Blocks

• Slabs from all types of vanilla logs • Slabs from all wood blocks (bark texture on all sides) • Slabs from stripped logs and wood blocks • Walls from all wood and stripped wood blocks

Stone Blocks

• Stairs from numerous stones including smooth stone, calcite, deepslate, dripstone, packed mud, obsidian, basalt, end stone, quartz bricks, terracotta, and concrete • Slabs from the same materials plus glazed terracotta • Fences and fence gates from various brick materials • Walls from many stone variations • Pressure plates and buttons from polished stones

Version 1.2.0 Additions

Added slabs from glazed terracotta in all colors. These slabs correctly respond to placement orientation. Double slabs maintain the direction of the first placed slab.

Known Issues

• Nether brick fence gates use standard wood sounds instead of stone sounds since the original game doesn't have sounds for non-wooden gates

• Add dripping tear effect for crying obsidian in all block types • Add chiseled red nether bricks • Fix breaking sounds for brick gates • Create special brick sounds for gates
