Mediumcore
Mediumcore represents an innovative difficulty level that occupies an intermediate position between standard survival and extreme hardcore mode. This mode can be activated when creating a new world or configured for an existing one using the command /gamerule mediumcoreMode true.

Gameplay Features
The main difference between Mediumcore and regular survival lies in the death penalty system. Each player death leads to a reduction of maximum health by one heart. This process continues until the character has only three hearts of health remaining, after which further reduction stops.

Health Recovery
Lost hearts can be restored by consuming special items. A golden apple or enchanted golden apple not only provides standard effects but also restores one lost maximum health heart.
Flexible Configuration
The modification offers extensive customization options through the mediumcore-common.toml configuration file. Users can adjust character starting health, minimum and maximum health values, the number of hearts restored from various items, and set Mediumcore as the default mode.
The list of items that restore maximum health is determined by the mediumcore:restores_max_health tag and can be expanded using data packs.
