Introducing Affix
Affix is an innovative Minecraft modification that demonstrates fundamentally new gameplay mechanics combined with breathtaking visual effects made possible by Veil API. This project is created for players who appreciate dynamic movement through the game world and love exploring the unknown while maintaining reasonable gameplay balance.
Getting Started
The modification reveals its potential during the end-game phase when exploring end cities. Here, players can discover a unique item — the Heavy Mirror, designed to locate and neutralize anomalies — new creatures appearing in the Overworld. Destroying these anomalies yields valuable resources for crafting special equipment.
When interacting with the mirror, you'll see five numbers on screen divided into three groups:
- The top number indicates the remaining cooldown until new anomalies appear.
- The central digits show the coordinates of the target's location.
- The bottom numbers display your current position in the world to facilitate navigation.
After discovering an anomaly, use the mirror to activate Interdimensional Vision to visually identify its location. Looking directly at the anomaly's core deals damage to it, indicated by the appearance of destruction particles.
Crafting Recipes
Materials obtained from anomalies are used to create two types of equipment and one mysterious item.
The Refractor

The Accelerator

The Infernal Tome

New Gameplay Mechanics
The crafted equipment provides unique movement and combat capabilities.
Refractor: A reusable tool functioning exclusively in the Overworld. Allows passing through the ground, accumulating momentum for an impressive launch to the surface.
Accelerator: A consumable item that grants the acceleration effect. In this state, the world appears in black-and-white tones similar to the Heavy Mirror vision, with the ability to perform rapid dashes in the direction of movement accompanied by visual symbols on screen.
Important: Frequent use of dashes causes symbols to change from white to red. Continued activity triggers the Behind You negative effect, creating auditory hallucinations and dealing random damage (2 hearts at unpredictable intervals).
Quasar Caller: A special weapon found in bastion treasure chests that summons falling stars in a unique manner.
Infernal Tome: A spellbook. We strongly recommend trying it yourself for full immersion in the atmosphere.
