Introduction to Aethersteel

This mod introduces a new material called Aethersteel that is twice as strong as netherite. To create an Aethersteel ingot, you need to find Aethersteel debris at depths between -44 and -64 blocks, where they occur in Aetherslate deposits. After mining, the debris is smelted, and then 4 pieces of Aethersteel scrap and 4 netherite ingots are used to craft the finished ingot.

The Aethersteel upgrade template can be obtained by mining suspicious Aetherslate, with a certain drop chance. To upgrade tools and armor to Aethersteel level, use a smithing table where you place the upgrade template, netherite item, and Aethersteel ingot. Aethersteel armor can be decorated with armor trims.

The mod adds various items including Aethersteel ingot, nugget, scrap, and upgrade template.

Tools and Weapons

A complete set of Aethersteel tools and weapons is available: armor, axe, hoe, pickaxe, shears, shovel, and sword. The Aethersteel knife requires Farmer's Delight mod for crafting.

Blocks

The mod offers various building blocks: Aetherslate with different variants (bricks, tiles, cobbled, polished), including stairs, slabs, and walls. Also added are Aethersteel block with stair and slab variants, chain, debris, door and trapdoor, bookshelf (requires Iron Bookshelves mod), and suspicious Aetherslate that can drop various items when mined.

For viewing recipes, it's recommended to use JEI or REI.

Compatibility

The mod is compatible with Farmer's Delight and Iron Bookshelves.
