Aether Addon: Enhanced Extinguishing - Improved Fire Extinguishing

This addon fundamentally changes the mechanics of placing torches and lanterns in the Aether dimension. Instead of the standard prohibition on placing these light sources, the modification allows their placement but with one important change - they automatically transform into extinguished versions: Extinguished Torch and Extinguished Lantern.

These new blocks visually resemble their regular counterparts, but they lack flames and do not emit light. This solution makes the behavior of torches and lanterns more logical and consistent with other fire blocks in the Aether, such as campfires and candles, which can also transition to a non-burning state. When destroying extinguished blocks, you get back their regular burning versions, similar to the mechanics of working with candles.

Modification Features

The main goal of this addon is to eliminate the inconsistency in the mechanics of fire blocks. In the standard Aether, some fire sources can be extinguished, while others simply cannot be placed. Enhanced Extinguishing solves this problem by providing a uniform approach to all types of fire blocks.

The extinguished versions of blocks fit perfectly into the Aether's aesthetic and can be used for decorative purposes, creating the atmosphere of abandoned or ancient structures where fire once burned but has now gone out.
