About the Modification

The Aether II modification is truly impressive, but for me, the classic Aether version will always remain my favorite due to its simplicity and perfect integration with vanilla Minecraft. When development of the original mod ceased, it was a real disappointment. Imagine my surprise when several years later I discovered Aether Legacy - a port of this legendary modification for modern game versions!

After extensive gameplay, I felt inspired to create this addon that adds several simple yet useful features to Aether Legacy. The Modding Legacy team has clearly stated they don't plan to expand functionality to preserve the authentic "legacy" feel of the mod. Over time, I hope this modification becomes what the original Aether could have been if its development hadn't stopped.

Main Features

Wooden Elements from Skyroot

• Skyroot doors
• Skyroot chests
• Skyroot signs
• Skyroot trapdoors
• Skyroot and Holystone pressure plates - function similarly to wooden and stone counterparts
• Skyroot and Holystone buttons - work like corresponding wooden and stone versions

Mechanical Devices

• Holystone levers
• Zanite doors - similar to iron doors
• Zanite pressure plates - activated only by players
• Zanite trapdoors - function like iron trapdoors

Decorative and Special Blocks

• Ambrosium block - decorative storage block that emits light
• Skyroot beds:
  • Allow sleeping in the Aether
  • Explode in all other dimensions
  • Available in all colors
  • Under development: currently don't set respawn point or change time of day
• Decorative Zanite bars

Unique Items

• Aetherion chest:
  • Has unique inventory for each player (similar to localized ender chest)
  • Crafted from 8 packed ice surrounding an Aetherium core
• Aetherium core:
  • Used to craft Aetherion chest
  • No other special effects yet
  • Crafted by combining Zanite gem, Swetty ball, and Golden amber

Food System

• Cockatrices now drop raw/burnt cockatrice meat
• Attempting to eat this food item applies poison effect
• Can be enchanted to remove poison effect and enhance saturation stats

Settings

• All elements of this addon can be disabled as desired
