Advanced Compass

Adds a stylish RPG-inspired compass to the game interface that displays mobs, players, and waypoints!

Preview

Almost all parameters can be configured through the settings menu (default key 'P')! Enjoy!

Settings

Display Mode: Allows selecting when the advanced compass is visible. ALWAYS_ON - compass is always visible; MAIN_HAND - only when holding a regular compass in hand; BOTH_HAND - similar to previous, but for both hands; ANY_SLOT - having a regular compass in inventory is enough; OFF - compass is disabled.

Show Coordinates: Enables or disables displaying coordinates above or below the compass.

Coordinates Scale: Changes coordinate font size from x0.5 to x2.

Compass Width: Adjusts the width of the advanced compass.

Compass Height: Adjusts compass background height from 8 to 50.

Icon Scale: Changes the size of mob, player, and waypoint icons from x0.5 to x2.

Icon Generation Type: Affects only modded mobs. HEAD_FIRST - first tries to create an icon based on the mob's head, then moves to the body; FULL_BODY - skips head-based generation and immediately tries to create an icon based on the body; OFF - doesn't generate icons, uses standard ones (zombie for hostile mobs, pig for neutral mobs). If HEAD_FIRST or FULL_BODY cannot create an icon, standard ones are used.

Y Offset: Shift from the top edge of the screen from 0 to 50.

Distance: Maximum distance to an entity to display on the compass. Does not exceed the game's render distance.

Group Distance: Maximum distance between entities to merge them into groups.

View Angle: View angle that fits in the compass. For example, with a value of 90, the left edge corresponds to 45 degrees left, the right edge to 45 degrees right.

Angle Threshold: Hides icons if the angle between your view and the icon exceeds the set value. For example, with a view angle of 90 and threshold of 45, the icon disappears when the angle exceeds 45 degrees. With a value of 180, icons never disappear.

Group Entities: Enables or disables merging mobs of the same type into groups with one icon.

Move Bossbar: Moves the standard bossbar below the compass. If using a modded bossbar and it works incorrectly, disable this option.

Show Distance: Enables or disables displaying distance below icons.

Show Players: Enables or disables icons for players. The mod tries to distinguish real players from NPCs, but sometimes may apply this setting to NPCs as well.

Hide Behind: Hides mob icons if they are behind blocks.

Hide Overlapped: Hides overlapped icons, leaving only the top one visible.

Overlap Threshold: Number of pixels one icon must overlap another to hide it.

Death Waypoint: Automatically creates a waypoint upon death.
