Sculk Catalyst
This special block has the ability to detect creature deaths within an 8-block radius around itself. When activated, it begins spreading various sculk blocks, with the amount of generated material directly dependent on how much experience normally drops from a defeated mob. Unique feature: catalysts can be found in chests located in dungeons, mines, and strongholds.
Sculk Shrieker
Shriekers perform a dual function: they sense sculk sensor activity within an 8-block radius and react when someone steps on them. Each activated shrieker applies the darkness effect to all players within its area of effect, creating a tense atmosphere and making orientation in space difficult.
Sculk Features
Sculk Blocks drop one experience orb when broken.
Sculk Veins form along the edges of sculk patches and on top of blocks that cannot be replaced by the spreading structure.
Performance Optimization
Starting from version 1.0.7, the mod supports multithreading. The sculkThreading game rule is enabled by default, which significantly improves performance and is ideal for servers. If you still want to disable this feature, use the command "/gamerule sculkThreading false", but be prepared for possible performance degradation when catalysts are active.
Sculk Threads: starting from version 1.0.9, you can adjust the number of threads for processing sculk spread using the gamerule sculkThreads setting. Increasing these values may affect performance differently depending on your hardware configuration.
