A Completely Ethical Mod
Want to play Minecraft in a way that would make your therapist proud? Perhaps this mod is just what you need! In an attempt to eliminate all ethical dilemmas from gameplay, the developer has removed most ways players could harm mobs directly or indirectly.
Defeating the Ender Dragon is still possible, though you'll have to bend those strict moral principles a little. Additionally, the ability to create snow golems in the Nether has been blocked - since their instant death from the heat would be completely unethical.
What types of harm are blocked:
The mod prevents the following damage types that players could potentially inflict on creatures:
Fire and lava category:
- Being actively on fire
- Standing inside fire sources
- Standing on hot surfaces (magma blocks)
- Proximity to campfires
- Immersion in lava
Damage from external sources:
- Lightning strikes (including those controlled through lightning rods)
- Fall damage from heights
- Explosions (both regular and player-triggered)
- Fireworks
Environmental hazards:
- Drowning underwater
- Contact with spikes (cacti, sweet berry bushes, stalactites)
- Freezing in cold biomes
- Falling objects (blocks, anvils, stalactites)
- Entity cramming from too many creatures
- Suffocation inside solid blocks
Special cases:
- Warden's sonic boom attack (blocked due to potential player manipulation)
